Prairie Hills Elementary

All new enrollment for Adams 12 schools is now handled at the Central Enrollment Center, conveniently located in the Educational Support Center at 1500 E. 128th Avenue, Thornton, CO. Hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily (excluding holidays), with extended hours to 6:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. No appointment is necessary. If you have questions you may call the Central Enrollment Office at 720-972-6545. 

The office at Prairie Hills Elementary is closed during the summer. The office reopens on Wednesday August 5th.

Full Day Kindergarten information is provided below: (Registration for full day kindergarten still takes place at the Adams 12 Educational Support Center as mentioned above.)

Enrollment permitting, for the 2009-2010 school year, Prairie Hills will be offering two (2) tuition-based all-day kindergarten classes with a tuition fee of $275.00 per month for nine months. Full-day kindergarten registration is not a first-come-first serve basis. If registrations excede our enrollment limit, a lottery will be held. The program has a tiered acceptance priority. First priority is for students living within the school's attendance area; second priority is for students outside of the boundary attendance area but who reside within the school district; third priority is for students who reside outside of the school district. Also, if you are placed in a full-day tuition based kindergarten program at a school that is not your boundary school, you will have to return to yur boundary school for first grade, or you can apply to any school that is open for Choice Enrollment. However, keep in mind that your kindergartener's school may not be open to the Choice program.

Full Day 2009-2010 Kindergarten Program Information

COST: $275.00 per month for nine months 

HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7:45 AM - 2:30 PM; Wednesday (Early Release Day) from 7:45 AM - 1:15 PM

LUNCH: Students will eat lunch each day in the cafeteria. They may either bring a lunch from home or buy a school lunch for an additional charge.

AGE REQUIREMENT: All kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before September 15.

STRUCTURE: All day kindergarten is a full day educational program. (No naps.)
