Mile High Karate
Each year, usually in the fall/winter, Mile High Karate comes to PHE and offers 6 karate classes to any interested K-5 student. The club will meet in the gym after school from 2:30-3:15 p.m. two days per week for 3 weeks. Classes are fun and teach self-defense techniques while emphasizing the habits of quality learning, focus, discipline, and, respect. Classes are taught by certified instructors from Mile High Karate. Classes also include daily homework assignments to improve results at home and school. Mile High Karate club also serves as a fundraiser for the PE program at PHE. Any interested students must take home and return a permission slip. The cost is around $20.00 per student.
