Prairie Hills has some of the BEST students around who follow school rules and fully engage in their education! This year, we are choosing to highlight some of those students while we encourage everyone to do their best.
Many of our students are serious Learners, have Active Minds, are Respectful, Kind to everyone and Safe as well! On Nov. 3, 2018 we had a chance to celebrate some of these amazing students! These students were given special LARKS t-shirts and were applauded at a ceremony by their peers, teachers and parents.
Throughout the 2017-18 school year, Prairie Hills staff will nominate and recognize nearly 200 students. Each trimester, ten students from each grade level will be nominated to receive an award. Staff will choose students that display one or more L.A.R.K.S behaviors. Parents will be invited to join with us in a special assembly and celebration. Students who are recognized will be given a certificate, a one-of-a-kind t-shirt and have their picture hung up in the cafeteria for all to see. In addition, our school will be purchasing more enticing prizes for the current L.A.R.K.S. program.
We'd like to especially thank PTO, and our parent community for raising the funds necessary to celebrate our stellar students. The money raised during the Fall Fundraiser is allowing us to reward our exemplary students. Your support means so much to us!
Kudos also go to the staff members on our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports) Team: Mr. Mitchell, Mr. Brown, Ms. Jeppesen, Mrs.Potter, Ms. Nienaber, Mr. Finley, Ms. Kazeck, Mr. Watson.
Each morning, after the pledge, students are reminded that "I am a learner, with an active mind. I am respectful, safe and kind."
