Dear Prairie HIlls Families,
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself, my name is Kim Walsh, and I’ll be serving as Interim Principal through the end of the school year.
I have had the opportunity to spend some time here in the building, and am thrilled to be able to work through this leadership transition with you and your children. I just want to take a moment to let you know what you can expect from me in the short term.
First of all, I’ll be spending time in classrooms, at drop off and pick up, on the playground, and in the cafeteria getting to know your students, their routines, and familiarize myself with basic school practices and procedures. It is my value, to build an environment that is inclusive, safe, joyful, where rigorous instruction is happening each and every day. The only way I can do that is to be where the students are!
You can expect to see a weekly newsletter that will be sent electronically, we’re calling it the PHExpress. This will include celebrations, reminders, and important calendar information pertinent to your family. You can also expect a monthly newsletter with more school-wide information and updates.
In addition, if you need to contact me here at the school, the best way to find me is to call the school’s general number at 720.972.8780. The office staff has offered to get messages to me in a timely manner, because if I’m out and about, I may miss your important phone call. Please know you can schedule appointments anytime during office hours with our office staff. You can also reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you prefer to email. Know that I will adhere to district standards with regard to return communication, and get back to anyone who contacts me within the 24-48 hour window.
I am delighted to be able to serve the PHE community in this way. I feel honored to have the opportunity to be a part of such a great community.
I have officially started, so if you’re around at conferences, please stop by and introduce yourself, I’d love to get to know you and your student.
I look forward to meeting all families.
