Welcome! Thanks for letting me introduce myself. Teaching is a second career for me. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to choose my career as an adult, knowing that teaching is what I was meant to do with my life. I’ve been teaching 4th and 5th grade for 12 years now and have loved every minute of it! I earned my B.A from Metro State and my Masters from Colorado University.
I believe my greatest strength as a teacher is my ability to connect with my students and my passion to ensure that every child grows under my care. I start each year wondering if it will be possible to love this new group as much as the last, and I end each year wishing I could keep them for just one more year! I have found the key to success is a strong team between school and home. Please feel free to reach out to me with any concerns or information that might help me to serve you and your child.
In my spare time I love to hang out with friends and family- especially my two grown sons. Our family loves to be in the mountains camping, hiking, fishing, skiing, and taking in the beauty! I’m blessed to have a husband of 35 years who supports my career wholeheartedly. We share our home with three fur babies – two cats and our faithful yellow lab. I'm looking forward to a great year!
